If you work in the NHS or a London local authority with responsibility for accessible services and sustainable transport then this is the event for you.
The London NHS Travel Network is running a workshop on travel-related access (specific to the NHS) on the 30 October 2012, 9.30-12.30 (9:00am registration). The workshop will be held at TfL’s Offices, 10th floor, 55 Broadway, London SW1H 0BD (St James’ Park tube station).
The session will cover why travel related access should be given due consideration and what it means in practice including requirements and examples of current NHS reconfigurations.
TfL will provide an overview of the help and support available to NHS organisations and introduce you to the Health Service Travel Analysis Tool (HSTAT), Public Transport Accessibility Levels (PTALs) and other tools that are used for optioneering and prioritisation.
There will also be overview of the bus network and planning process, including requirements for changes to services and an update on countdown (live data feeds).
