Payment by results (PbR)

Payment by results (PbR)

Mental health payment by results (PbR) was introduced to support patient choice, reward efficiency and quality, reduce waiting times and refocus discussions between commissioners and providers. We are currently supporting clusters in their preparation for the implementation of mental health PbR, including keeping key stakeholder up to date with developments at a regional and national level through various events and bi-monthly e-bulletins (from July). We will be sharing best practice across London to ensure that a consistent approach is applied across the clusters.

The Mental Health Commissioners Collaborative is a bi-monthly event and will keep commissioners up to date on PbR developments regionally and nationally. Collaborative events may also contain information other than PbR which commissioners may find helpful. Slides and publications from previous events can be found on our website, as can podcasts from the presentations.
