Good grounding in commissioning

This workshop was designed for those who are relatively new to commissioning healthcare, or who have worked primarily in one part of the commissioning cycle such as contracting, public health or finance. This module provides an overview of the whole commissioning cycle and what’s involved at each stage.

By the end of this workshop participants would expect to understand:

• The end to end commissioning process, key steps and activities of the commissioning cycle
• The evolution of commissioning within the changing political landscape

And be able to:

• Play an active role in a commissioning team using the tasks and outputs set out in the commissioning cycle
