Vascular health
The implementation of the Healthcheck programme checks for 40 – 74-year-olds across the country was staggered and prioritised according to need.
We focused on supporting the roll out of this programme across London by ensuring that lessons learnt through early implementation were shared by London commissioners and practitioners. We looked at best practice in the delivery of the checks and created networks and communities of interest to improve the outcome for patients and the community.
We engaged with everyone responsible for the delivery of the Healthcheck programme and formed a programme of support that best suited their needs. We also undertook research to ensure a full understanding of the target group’s attitudes and beliefs.
