Service review
The review was chaired by Bill Gillespie, Chief Executive Sutton and Merton PCT, and Professor John Toy, Queen Mary, University of London and organised into three work areas. Each work area had an associated clinical expert reference group.
- Early diagnosis, co-chaired by Adrian Brown, NHS Westminster and Sarah Vinnicombe, Barts and the London NHS Trust and Central and East London Breast Screening Service
- Common cancers and general care, co-chaired by Professor Adrian Newland, Queen Mary, University of London and North East London Cancer Network and Dr Alison Jones, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust
- Rarer cancers and specialist care, co-chaired by Mr Nigel Heaton, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Shelley Dolan, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust
The review was also supported by a patient panel, co-chaired by Natalie Teich, Islington LINk and Virginia Gorna, West London Cancer Network. The details of all representatives can be found in the appendix to the model of care.
