We work with London’s primary care trusts to transform frontline services and drive up standards in care quality. In consultation with patients, clinicians and GPs, we have proposed service changes that are expected to save thousands of lives, improve the health of our population and deliver efficient healthcare services.

We have developed proposals that we believe will prevent up to 1,000 cancer deaths and save up to 35,000 hospital beds for cardiac patients while improving services. We have also developed proposals to improve mental health services, potentially taking up to 750 people off sick pay and benefits.

The work of London Health Programmes evolved from the work of the Healthcare for London programme and NHS Commissioning Support for London, both of which have now been discontinued. As such, some of the content on this site may not necessarily reflect current government policy.
