Today we published a regional Public Health Outcomes Framework for all London local authorities
The London PHOF brings together – for the first time – local data for indicators included in the national Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF). This information will be useful to practitioners, local authority and public health professionals and GP commissioners
The PHOF focuses on two high level outcomes – increased healthy life expectancy and reduced differences in life expectancy between communities through greater improvements in more disadvantaged communities.
The two overarching indicators are supported by the latest London information on 66 public health measures to help focus understanding of progress year by year.
The London PHOF has been integrated into the London Health Programmes health needs assessment toolkit and includes: an overview of all of the PHOF indicators, an explanation of indicator inclusion/exclusion, excel data spreadsheets for all indicators included in the London PHOF and, where possible, links to the indicator within the HNA toolkit.
The public health observatories, led by the London Health Observatory, have been commissioned by the Department of Health to produce data for the 2010/11 baseline.
